GROLLGRANG'S OUTER SANCTUM. Five heretical cultists and two
hobgoblins and six goblins are here.
5 Heretical Worm
Cultists (AC 10; MV 12”; HD 1-6 hit points; hp 5, 5, 6, 4, 5; #AT
1; D Dagger +2 due to strength; XP 10, 10, 11, 9, 10)
The cultists
wear gray robes and have 5 to 14 (1d10+4) gold cylinders. Each is
host to a gray wormspawn.
5 Gray Wormspawn
(AC 7; MV 9”; HD 2+1; hp 5, 16, 10, 10, 14; #AT 1 bite; D 1-4; SA
Drain blood for 4 hit points per round; XP 65, 98, 80, 80, 92)
The hobgoblins
are acting as merchants in this case. They belong to Vicenne
Triskelion's group and are waiting to see Grollgrang in Room 92 in
order to make a deal with her to provide the heretics with fresh food
in return for treasure.
Hobgoblin
Captain (AC 3; MV 9”; HD 3; hp 16; #AT 1; D Black iron bastard
sword or black iron dagger +2 damage due to strength; XP 83) 24 gold
crescents, 8 silver spanners, 33 copper pieces
Hobgoblin
Sergeant (AC 5; MV 9”; HD 1+1; hp 9; #AT 1; D Black iron battle axe
or black iron dagger; XP 38) 11 gold crescents, 13 silver spanners,
13 copper pieces
6
Goblins (AC 6; MV 6”; HD 1-1; hp 3, 1, 6, 3, 6, 6; #AT 1; D Short
sword; XP 13, 11, 16, 13, 16, 16)
Each
goblin has 0 to 5 (1d6-1) silver spanners and 0-11 (1d12-1) copper
pieces. The hobgoblins use the goblins as laborers. They have
brought three wooden crates which hold the following trade goods:
Crate
1: Fresh fruit and vegetables
Crate
2: 20 short swords
Crate
3: smoked fish and salted meat
The hobgoblins
don't want to die fighting for the worm cultists, who they have a low
opinion of, but they will defend themselves, of course.
The room is well
lit with torches on the walls. The walls are decorated in
incomprehensible mosaic patterns. They are all is grays, black, and
light browns. If the mosaics are examined too closely, they will
appear to writhe and move in front of the watcher's eyes. This
causes nausea and headaches in the observer. This will not happen
from simply standing in the room.
