GRUNGER'S ROOM. Grunger, the Horrid Hand Orc Chief is here with
three important retainers.
Grunger

Grunger
has a Horrid Hand normal sized shield, a gold necklace with
ornamental stones (400 gold crescent value) and three daggers.

The
guards each have 3-12 (1d10+2) gold crescents, 6-24 (2d10+4) silver
spanners, and 2-24 (2d12) copper pieces. They also each have a
Horrid Hand normal sized shield, a battle axe, and a dagger.
Grunger
is less likely to enter into a cooperative agreement with adventurers
than Higg is. It would take a demonstration of overwhelming force
and a good reaction roll to effect an alliance. He is arrogant,
quick to anger, and believes that the Horrid Hand orcs have a strong
position. If an alliance is consummated, the Horrid Hand orcs desire
to eliminate the bugbears on this level as their primary goal. They
are indifferent to the Bent Blade orcs, regarding them as inferior,
and have little trouble with the froglodytes or worm cultists.
This
room is furnished as a bedchamber and lit by torches. Grunger has a
hidden compartment behind a secret door in the north wall. Within
are two iron urns.
The
first urn holds 317 silver spanners and 7 Elvish platinum sirastars.
The
second urn holds 113 base 10 gp gems (turquoise).
