Agramar
wears black thraex style armor and uses
a magic hammer instead of a traditional thraex short sword.
He carries 16 gold crescents, 19 silver spanners, 24 copper pieces,
and the key to his room. Agramar is very short (three feet) and
unusually stout and broad. He is a domineering perfectionist in
matters of combat but personally very sloppy.
The
room is somewhat messy with old clothes and food scattered about.
The bed is unkempt, but the bedsheets are costly silk and worth 300
gold crescents. He keeps a wardrobe which is full of boots and five
black iron daggers. Beneath the bed is an unlocked iron box holding
12 silver khurams, 325 gold crescents, 100 silver spanners, and three
black glass bottles holding potions of healing (blue, taste
like honey).

ABANDONED ROOM. It is furnished as a bedroom for four thraces. The
gladiators that lived here died in a raid recently and the others
have taken their treasure and armor, but they missed a stash of 342
gold crescents hidden in one of the mattresses.

HYENA DON. This bedroom is home to a human fighter and his pet
hyenas.

Don's
hyenas chewed up and peed in his armor, so he fights in a male lion's
pelt. The head of the lion covers his head so it looks like he is
some kind of beast man. He also fights with metal claws attached to
his hands. He can strike with both each round with no penalty. If
Don is reduced to half hit points he goes berserk, striking at +4 to
hit and his armor class becomes 8.

Don
has an amateurish golden statue of a hyena the size of a terrier. It
is so ugly that it is worth only 300 gold crescents but if melted
down and made into coins or ingots it would be worth 500 gold
crescents based on weight alone. There is a mild curse associated
with the statue. Whoever carries it or claims it as their share of
treasure must save vs spells. If they fail, then they will regard it
as a true work of priceless art and put it on display in their home
or in their room back at the inn. They will not sell it under an
circumstances.

ears), short swords, and shields.

MIDDLE DUNGEONS LEVEL FIVE 66 WATERFALLS.

WATERFALLS. The sound of running water will be obvious as this room
is approached. The room is lit by floating glowing blue spheres of
light, each about the size of an egg.
Each
corner holds a waterfall. The water enters from a sluice eighteen
feet off the ground and falls into four ten foot by ten foot pools
each with a depth of three feet. The water is always clean and is
lukewarm. It is drained from below by small holes.
As
the water hits the pool, it releases the blue glowing lights, which
drift through Rooms 67 to 83 and intervening corridors. The light
spheres are not substantial and will slip out of the hand if grasped.

BEDROOM. The small room to the north is a closet. Within is a three
foot square metal safe.
Yellow
ribbon is wrapped around the safe with the words “DO NOT OPEN” in
black block letters. The safe is unlocked and holds three gold bars
(150 gold crescents each) and a glass flask with a red wax stopper
holding violently churning green smoke.
If
the flask is opened, the green smoke will flow out and condense into
an angry quasit.

MIDDLE DUNGEONS LEVEL FIVE 57 REFUGEE ROOM.

REFUGEE ROOM. 17 people are in the room, all wearing the gray
uniforms worn by those formerly imprisoned in the dungeon. Three of
them are actually wererats in human form.
The
humans have banded together in an attempt to survive. They are more
likely to ask for food than they are to fight. The wererats hide
among them pretending to be benefactors and helping get food, but
killing and eating a few at a time.
All
of the humans but one are completely fooled and trust the wererats
here and in the nearby rooms. The suspicious one is a young lady
named Matea. If the adventurers encounter the group but leave on
good terms, she will follow them and try to get them to take her with
them or figure out why her people go missing every so often from her
group.

room used to be a bedroom for up to twenty guests and there are beds
overturned and sheets on the floor. The lions have killed prey,

spears, 3 short swords, 2 tridents, and 9 daggers.

MIDDLE DUNGEONS LEVEL FIVE 54 PRIVATE ROOM.

PRIVATE ROOM. On a bed is a gray, shriveled, and dried up dead
body. Standing against the walls are dozens of very realistic manikins of people from all walks of life (beggar, merchant, noble,
sage, fighter, etc.).
The manikins are actually corpses and products of the taxidermists art.
The fighter wears real chain mail armor and has a long sword
decorated with semi-precious stones (200 gold crescents). The noble
has a platinum diadem about her forehead with small sapphires (2500
gold crescents).
The
body of the bed is actually a restless dead. If anyone intrudes into
the room, it will spring up and scream “This room is mine! This
room is mine!” over and over again. If the room is not vacated
immediately, it will attack.
Restless

The
restless dead has beautiful blue glass eyes, as do all the preserved
bodies. It is immune to cold and mind affecting spells. It can be
turned as a 'Special' undead in this room, or as a spectre if lured
out of the room.

SALOON. Shards of green, brown, and clear broken glass are on th
floor. The west wall holds the bar. The stairs go down 30 feet to
Area 85 on Level 6.
If
the space behind the bar is searched, a safe is found built under the
countertop. It is locked and holds 17 gold crescents, 43 silver
spanners, 56 copper pieces, and a silver bracelet (100 gold
crescents).

STORAGE ROOM. Wooden crates holding straw and drinking glasses. One
holds an impossibly beautiful four foot tall glass statue of an angel
(500 gold crescents but very fragile). If a person carrying the
statue attempts to fight with it, jump with it, or drops it, roll a
saving throw for the glass statue. If it is packed in a crate it
gets +4. If broken, it is worthless.

CURSED FEAST HALL. A roaring fire is in the fireplace in the west
wall and thirty gladiators are dining here, loudly trading stories,
making jests, and drinking mead. They are served by a dozen
beautiful but very thin serving girls.

Each
gladiator has 2d10 gold crescents. It would be normal for them to be
fighting, as they are enemies, but they have become charmed by
the food and drink and are instead enjoying an endless carouse.
Trying to force gladiators to leave the feast will cause them to
fight. If any adventurers try the food or drink they must make a
saving throw vs spells or fall under the same charm as the
gladiators. The fire, food, and drink are all magical and will never
expire or run out unless the place has been exorcised.
The
serving girls are actually skeletons under a powerful illusion. If
they are spoken to they will not talk back, only give a large toothy
grin.

There
are ten immense fancy golden plates on the feast tables, each worth
500 gold crescents. The gladiators and skeletons will fight to keep
adventurers from taking them.

MIDDLE DUNGEONS LEVEL FIVE 49 CIRCULAR ROOM.

CIRCULAR ROOM. A blank canvas, easel, and palette of paints and
inks. Resting on a small table is a
paintbrush. The room itself is lit by a glow whose source is
impossible to identify. The ceiling is conical with a peak of 24
feet. The walls are decorated with pictures of every type of bird.
Painting
a bird upon the surface of the canvas,causes it to appear upon the
table. The bird can be alive or dead (as in a roasted chicken).
Anything too large to fit on a table (such as a Roc) will be resized
to fit. Painting a bird does not grant control over the creature and
it will act according to its natural instincts, although an
intelligent adventurer might paint a bird in a cage.
The
canvas will always be blank when the room is reentered. The magic
only works in this room. Outside of the room, the paintbrush, paint,
and canvas are ordinary. Any art materials brought into the room
will not work, only the originals.

BOUNCER'S ROOM. This was a bedroom for three people. The furniture
is rough and has seen severe abuse.
There
are three footlockers.

1: Trapped with a poison needle. Save or take 1d8 damage and the
hand that gets stung turns blue for 1d4 days. Holds 2 black iron
daggers, a jar of topical narcotic (foul smelling white paste used to
soothe painful gums), a bag of 16 gold crescents, and a wolf skull.

2: Locked. Holds a bag of mixed coin and other valuables: 12 gold
crescents, 14 silver spanners, 15 copper pieces, sixteen marbles, and
three hunks of lead.

3: Holds 6 pickled sheep eyeballs in a glass jar, 34 copper pieces,
3 silver spanners, and silver holy symbols to Samech and Sarmo.

KITCHEN. A brown bear has wandered into the room, attracted by the
smell of cooking spices.

MIDDLE DUNGEONS LEVEL FIVE 46 DAMP ROOM.

DAMP ROOM. Grates are present in the floor. The walls are damp and
there is a thin layer of water on the floor. An unanimated skeleton
is lying near the northwest corner.
The
skeleton has a gold bracelet (200 gold crescents) and is covered with
patches of green mossy mold which resemble but are not green slime.
However, an actual green slime is growing on the ceiling above the
skeleton.
