MEN'S BATHING CHAMBER. The stairs in the corridor outside Rooms 14,
15, and 16 ascend five feet, placing these three rooms higher than
the remainder of the First Floor. As a result, the ceiling is only
eleven feet high in Room 14.
The
gray area in the center of the room represents a five foot deep
bathing pool that is currently dry. It has a central drain and is
filled with pieces of rubbish including broken pieces of wood, old
clothes, a rusty (and useless) short sword, and a torn boot. Pumps
for hot and cold water are near the western portion of the bath.
