UPPER DUNGEONS LEVEL THREE 89 HALL OF THE VENERATED.

89 HALL OF THE VENERATED. Sixteen heretical cultists are here. Seven are awake, including the cleric Rottramp. The other nine are being groomed to be introduced to Room 88 and are sleeping, having drunk the special tea from Room 87.

Rottramp the Fervent, Lawful Evil female human Cleric of the Worm God (AC 10; MV 12“; C4; hp 24; #AT 1; D Hammer +2 to damage due to strength; SA Spell use; S 18, I 12, W 14, D 13, C 18, CH 12; XP 185)

First Level Cleric Spells:

Second Level Cleric Spells:

6 Heretical Worm Cultists (AC 10; MV 12”; HD 1-6 hit points; hp 3, 4, 5, 4, 1, 6; #AT 1; D Dagger +2 due to strength; XP 3, 4, 5, 4, 1, 6)

Each cultist, including the cleric, wears a gray robe. Rottramp also wears an elaborate gray mask which is decorated with grotesque worms made to look like they are emerging from her face. The mask is actually silver and worth 250 gold crescents once the paint is removed. Rottramp carries no other wealth. Each cultist except Rottramp has 5 to 14 (1d10+4) gold cylinders . The sleeping cultists are unarmed and vulnerable. If killed in this condition they have no experience point value.

Rottramp and the other awake cultists each have a gray wormspawn living in them, which will emerge in 1d3 rounds after the human is killed. The sleeping cultists have intentionally been prevented from undergoing the sacrament of swallowing a wormspawn, otherwise the slagworms in Room 88 would refuse to feed on them.

7 Gray Wormspawn (AC 7; MV 9”; HD 2+1; hp 14, 7, 5, 13, 11, 10, 13; #AT 1 bite; D 1-4; SA Drain blood for 4 hit points per round; XP 92, 71, 65, 89, 83, 80, 89)

The walls are mosaics. Each depicts a different part of the creation story of the temple. The north wall shows a young man dressed like a noble (Ormond Triskelion) wandering in the wilderness. The east wall shows Ormond sitting at a crumbling temple in a wasteland bowing before a statue of a gray worm. The south wall shows Ormond and gray clad helpers constructing this complex. The west wall shows Ormond and robed priests conducting ceremonies. One figure on the west wall has been defaced purposefully years ago. This is Karnath Zhul, who was thrown into disgrace.
